Yet another child of The Hunter Yharnam and his hatchling partner... or is it?

Insight was a fairly normal hatchling when growing up, he played well with his siblings and had the best education a child could ask for. Though he showed promise as a hunter he was also quite intelligent, and after the loss of the last child prodigy the court was enthused to have another talented individual among them. He made many friends, and even had some romantic interests that he kept rather to himself about. Despite his kind demeanor, many actually didn't know all that much about him personally when they really stopped to think about it; all they knew were his academics, combat tactics, and his name. It wasn't long after this sweeping realization that the answers became obscured for possibly forever.

He was reaching adulthood when a blood moon rose, and it was nothing new to anyone in the court. This was a common response to when their resident god was upset about something or other, and as always everyone hid their eyes and hid themselves away for fear of being blinded by the sight of the child in its true form. Insight had been sitting in the library when this occurred and everyone was so sure he had stayed there through the night. But as the fog of the blood moon descended upon the castle halls, evidently despite his best efforts Insight heard something, saw something, in the fog that drew him in. When the red haze of the night settled at long last, Insight was nowhere to be found.

They searched for him for months without a single trace, and Lord Aethelweard had declared him dead by the time they saw him again... perhaps. When the halls gleamed scarlet from the light outside, Insight returned with the mists. Though he held a physical form that one could touch and feel, everything from his regalia to just the sense of his presence felt like death at the door. He still talked like himself, he practically acted like he'd been away on a trip for the past few months! But the strange sensations about him never went away, and he disappeared again when the upset was officially over.

Debate echoes through the halls about this son of The Hunter, no one is sure if he is dead or alive, or if this is even the same person that had gone missing months ago. What if it's a mimicry? A trick of the mists simply taking on a clever guise of the poor lost boy, no one knows. No one is certain they want the answer.
