Clan Leader
The Tyrant Queen

Violent and possessive, Aine's focus in life has been power. Feared as "The Tyrant Queen", Aine wears the title with pride. In the past her small size drove her to find some muscle to back her up. Rumor is, she orchestrated the accident that led her to save her mate, Rian, and caused him to pledge loyalty to her. Though she wanted muscle, he is calm and passive where she would be violent and aggressive. Aine snaps at him, verbally and physically, and he never retaliates. As she can hardly kill her mate, they teeter with their unstable and volatile relationship.

Aine prefers to tackle things personally; if she wants the clan to fight, she'll be on the front lines. Though she's willing to sacrifice her clanmates For The Greater Good, Aine's plans rely heavily on Rian's protective instincts. While she aims for conquest, he aims for survival and will dirty his claws to keep the clan breathing. Some of her fights are started by her lack of filter and incessant need to insult everything and everyone.

"What's... your favourite colour?" Nika says, because he's really not expecting much. B is famously tight-lipped. If it's not important, she doesn't answer. But-

The answer has Aine's eyes widening, just a fraction. It could be dangerous. It could be a ploy. If there's any time to take revenge for her eye, or overthrow the clan, this would be it. B has elemental advantage, and she's not Aine's bodyguard for nothing. But Aine answers, before Rian can voice a protest. "If you wish it."

During the fight their elements don't make an appearance. They clash, bite, break bones and teeth. By the end of it both are bloodied and would be easy pickings; by the end of it, half the clan was watching, and half of those were taking bets.

By the end of it, neither can move, and Aine manages a smirk. "Was that satisfactory?" Her voice breaks halfway through, and she has to cough to right it. A tooth loosens and falls, along with more blood Aine will surely miss.

Absinthe's eyes close beneath her mask. She takes a deep breath, exhales.

"A game," she says, "Did you expect anything else?"

"Six players: You, Absinthe, Rarna, versus Rian, Balisong, Asimi." Aine stares. Nokken smiles, cheeky as hell, and says, "Capture the flag."

"Are you sure?" From her tone, Aine doesn't believe him. She's just staring, waiting, and Rian doesn't even open his eyes.

"I don't want anything, Aine." His voice is so soft and tired. It won't do, not at all. Silence stretches, and Rian is famous for being able to let things drop- being able to ignore everyone and everything. If it doesn't involve some other dragon in the clan, he just doesn't care.

"What does Rian want, Nika?" Aine asks, and that gets a reaction. Nika jerks, paw frozen in the act of batting at Rian's beard. Rian opens his eyes, gaze sliding over to stare at Aine.

"You don't do that." It's blank, and soft, and very tired, but it almost sounds like a question. Like she might have piqued the shredded remains of his curiosity.

"Who says? I can grant anyone anything, and claim anything I earn. Nika. What does Rian want?"

Nika looks at his best friend, dead in the eyes. "Rian wants to laugh again," he says, and Rian doesn't flinch. Something flickers through his eyes, too quick for either of them to make out.

"Then I'll give him you," Aine says.
