Lore by DR45 They say the Dragon of a Hundred Eyes is not to be trusted Baskerville had become somewhat of a Legend within his clan. A silent phantom, skirting the edge of his clan like a shadow hiding from the light. He avoided the members as much as they avoided him. Whispers were murmured between them whenever they caught sight of his multitude of red orbs, glancing out from under his dark tresses. They were afraid of him. Hatchlings soon came to fear the dark, influenced by the mutterings of their parents. They never knew when he would appear, his eyes blinking in time like clocks ticking in unison. |

Baskerville grew accustomed to the fear, the anger. He knew they didn’t want him there. He knew that they had appealed to their clan leaders to have him removed. He knew that even though their Leader had objected to his banishment, deep down, he wanted to get rid of the Dragon haunting the nightmares of their Dragonets. He was not be trusted. Not approached, nor looked at. No one could bring themselves to talk to the dragon that was considered to be the most dangerous dragon in the clan After years of this treatment, Baskerville could feel bitterness settling itself deep inside him. What could he have done that they grew to be so wary of him? He was not the only one with dozens of eyes, but he was the only one shunned by the clan. Baskerville knew he would never a true home within his clan. It hurt, that he would never have a family, or be able to enjoy the company of his clan mates. On a dark night, when the moon was all but a sliver in the sky, he decided, if his clan couldn’t learn to love him, they would soon learn to truly fear him. He began to live up his legends, encouraging them, whenever he had a chance. They say that the Dragon of a Hundred Eyes is not to be trusted. Several years later, Baskerville realized that they were right. |
