Family was... a tricky thing. On one hand, Fin had grown up with half a dozen parents and a dozen siblings or cousins or friends of some sort. Those counted, he supposed, as family of some sort. He was the first stray egg found by the clan, so maybe it was the novelty of him that made everyone want to protect him. If pressed, he wouldn't have been able to point to any one specific mother-and-father pairing that seemed to be typical. One and Otello had been a lovely couple whom he would've considered his weird aunt and uncle. Funk was a fellow Mirror, and they were kind of like an elder sibling to him. Maybe Cal, Scarp, and Nebb were his parents? But then, that trio tended to guard over almost everyone.
