Fortunately, the concentration of Plague magic that flows through Emse's veins, while potent, doesn't seem to have many side-effects. After a long day of healing and restoring, there is often little magic left to be purged.

Besides, he thinks, as deft claws work bandages and a quick tongue prescribes salves and medication, he'd gladly make the sacrifice, especially if his magic, potentially lethal to him as it may be, could save every soul that stepped into his healer's tent.
