Biography

ZPFvLcu.png

had barely left the egg when his parents took notice of his unusually huge wings, both of which were successfully covering him. He was often praised for them, others believed him to be a good luck charm. Growing up with all this praise led to Bariton becoming somewhat pretentious, while you would think his gigantic wings would be an advantage it was in the beginning quite the opposite, being so large they weighed a lot causing Bariton to become very tired holding them up. And when he finally did relax by resting them on the ground he would often slip on them.

DBL4.png During his adolescence Bariton trained to specialize in aerial combat, his agility in the air was unmatched by any other, once again he was often praised. Even though Bariton wasn’t the strongest physically. But his wings made him appear much larger, intimidating and of course made him a very fast flyer. There were few that could beat him in a fight mid air, the only real disadvantage Bariton had was his stamina. While he could fly much faster he couldn’t fly quite as long as the others. But being so active and training daily caused this issue to almost disappear.

Bariton was so confident in his abilities that one day he challenged the leader of his previous clan thinking himself to be so much greater, much to his surprise the elder and more experienced dragon easily beat him. He knew Bariton’s weakness and while Bariton did everything he could he became more and sluggish while the elder only seemed to be getting faster, that night Bariton left his previous clan. He was old enough to survive on his own and was far too embarrassed to stay. His family bid him farewell, Bariton spent many months on his own realizing that he may not be all so great as he had thought his entire life. He wanted to become better and so strived to work harder wanting nothing more than to earn a place in a new clan.

Sadly old habits die hard, Bariton couldn’t believe his eyes after seeing a Wildclaw dressed from head to toe in gold. He was filled with both awe and envy. That is what I’m working towards. Bariton thought, just about to leave. But the Wildclaw had noticed him.

While at first very skeptical, and even suspicious Bariton slowly warmed up to the Wildclaw whose name was Humbert, wanted nothing more than a nice conversation, they bonded over the course of a few weeks until one day the Wildclaw asked to introduce Bariton to his clan, once again Bariton was surprised, the Wildclaw’s clan was filled with the most unusual dragons stemming from all over the world, he quickly took a liking to most of the dragons, one thing led to another and Bariton was invited to stay. An offer he happily took.

While still somewhat self obsessed seen by the gold he often wears and how much he praises himself Bariton by spending time with dragons like Humbert is slowly learning humility, even going as far as starting to learn the basics of magic.

Bariton often feels very grateful towards his clan, and will fiercely defend them while also lending a wing to cry on if needed. You wouldn’t think such a dragon would be so soft towards others. But you won't find a dragon that cares more for his friends than Bariton⸺or his BEES!

DBL4.png It’s strange to think that such a majestic and noble dragon had such an unusual past.
