Notes:
  • Erling = child of nobles
  • Grandson of Berga and Alfrun
  • Turns into crystal when he sleeps
  • Immense magical reservoirs
  • Is liable to breakage, rather than wounds, much to the ire of the Clan's healers, as that means that they have to fins all his pieces before they can heal (or rather, mend) him.
  • It is possible to mend him without all his pieces, but then he becomes smaller. Which really isn't good, even if he seems to be continously growing (albeit very, very slowly) instead of settling at a certain size ...mostly because the pieces are still alive and connected to him.
  • Turned back to the Outpost and his grandparents by his parents when they realised his physical oddities, figuring that his grandmother was better equipped to handle him.
  • Took several hundred years to find his charge, but by the way he brooded worse than his grandmother over her and Alfrun's nests only to promptly go back to normal once the eggs hatch, everyone fairly quickly came to the (correct) conclusion that was waiting for the right Uncle or Aunt to be hatched.
  • The aunt's name is Brynja! (add specifics)
