MATE: After several long months of effort and pleading, Mireille.
Kicked out of his clan for being just plain ugly, Algae wandered from the plague lands of his birth to the heart of his enemy clan. He claims it was because he was hoping for better treatment from the people his clan hated than from his clan itself, but everyone is fairly certain he just got lost and wound up in the first clan that would take pity on him.
It's definitely a step up, though-- being left alone to skulk in the underbrush is much better than taking abuse out in the open. He spends a lot of time staring wistfully at the clan's only eligible female imperial, but open attempts to engage in flirtation end with her accusing him of spying for her mother, knocking him over, and running in the other direction.
Recently, though, she's been taking some pity on him and actually spending time with him. After all, for all that he's ugly and probably a spy for her mother, she can't deny that he listens to her conspiracy theories for way longer than any other dragon in the clan.
