Greedy|Talkative|Gluttonous
Scallian hadn't been known for being lazy and it wasn't something he had ever cared to be. What he was known for was being gluttonous. The bogsneak loved eating and trying new foods. When there wasn't enough food to go around Scallian would become protective and aggressive in order to eat. He didn't care for what anything tasted like as long as his appetite was sated. The dragon also had the gift of hardly gaining any weight despite his voracious appetite. Dragons started to call him 'the bottomless pit' or 'Pit' for short due to how much he could eat. Yet, the clan could only feed so many mouths and Scallian's was too big to support. Rather than selling him and giving him the benefit of feeling worth something they gave him away. His new 'clan' wasn't a clan at all, it was a pirate ship. When he tried to run away the pirates stuck him in the brig and it wasn't long before they realized what made the dragon work. Scallian spent more than a few days locked up and starved because his only way of eating was through following commands and he refused to do that. Eventually, the bogsneak caved. With only the skin left to cover his bones Scallian started to follow orders. Each time he correctly performed a task he was rewarded with food and Cook managed to get the dragon hooked on a particular type of food: dragon meat. Unable to find any other place that offered it Scallian stayed aboard the ship. When he was able to successfully perform tasks he had been left to his own devices and when it came to pillaging the bogsneak had little remorse so long as there was an edible reward involved. Since he was easily won over by food he became reliable to both Cook and the ship. Whenever something needed to be done he would be there to do it when the reward was good enough.
