The fire in his heart was reflected in the flames that flickered on his opalescent patches. He'd been hatched within the heat of the Ashfall Waste along with his two other siblings but his stay wasn't nearly as long as theirs was. Despite this, the tundra made the most of his life there. He dabbled in forging and entertained making equipment with materials that he found (but never used items given to him or offered by the clan). Yet, even as a curious hatchling Augus proved to be a clawful. He argued even when he was wrong and tended to lose his temper when something wasn't remotely close to perfect in his mind. Dragons started to avoid him to keep from getting into an argument, but Augus didn't realize how close to the edge he was until one dragon had tried to help him fix a mistake that he swore could not be fixed in his forging. When they started to take hold of his possessions to help the tundra lost his temper and attacked them. He was punished for it by both his tools being taken away from him and him being imprisoned for a short period of time. The only reason it ended was because festivities had rolled around where dragons were asking for tricks and treats. He was gifted to the nocturne, Harpy, who kept him bound until they reached a ship. Augus was forced to sign on to the ship as a sailor and during their stay while Harpy left for more treats, he had to learn how to follow orders and take care of the ship. As it happened, the Crowned Thresher was a perfect fit for the tundra. His perfectionist behavior meant he did his tasks to a 'T' and he was able to mend certain pieces of the ship while at port. Any anger Augus had pent up he was allowed to take out when they pillaged a clan but Augus had a peculiar way of making dragons give up. He attacked what he thought was most valuable to them and tore it up beyond repair whether it was another dragon or an item. He managed to befriend Sheo when they'd made port after his second voyage. The mirror had met him at the tavern and the pair had gotten unreasonably intoxicated until they ended up picking a fight outside with another ship's crew. Despite being outnumbered they managed to fight themselves out of the other crew's midst but not without Augus sustaining a notable injury on his hindquarter.
