It isn't a very good idea to have a vampire in your clan, but she behaves herself well enough and at the very least, it makes rival clans think twice about encroaching on your territory. Secretly, she is endlessly amused that such a tiny fey as she could be so terrifying to those around her- and she may play it up a little more than necessary. The tiny fae couldn't tell you how she became what she now is. Whatever unholy event caused her current condition also left her mind broken and her memories scattered. Too little remained for her to piece together anything of her past, and she wandered for an unknown amount of time, so delirious as to be akin to a wild animal, never far from succumbing to her new dark hungers. Eventually she stumbled into Clan Thornir lands. First treated as a threat, after being subdued in a battle, she was brought to Feya who nursed her back to health. Sensing the fae's confused and broken state, Feya focused on helping her discover a personality and build an identity- one that did not revolve around her newfound state of being. Unable to remember her name, she was given a new one- Nix, reflecting the empty state she was found in and her dark affinity as a creature of the night. It was awhile before she was allowed to roam freely, even then under watch lest she succumb to her darker desires. Her hunger nearly claimed her until she discovered a swarm of blood sucking insects troubling her fellow clanmates. Blood-drinking, she quickly discovered, was only frowned upon if you drank it directly from the source. Newly invigorated, Nix set out with a single-minded purpose to discover all haunts of blood-seeking creatures within clan territory and began a campaign of terror against them. It was even before this that Hallow took a liking to her. With so few other fey in the clan and a shared fascination with blood, the lunar witch claimed the young vampire as her own, offering to serve as her permanent guard. With some time and a very purposeful sort of attentiveness, Hallow soon claimed her as a mate. it's an odd sort of relationship; Hallow lets her drink freely of her blood, never enough to harm of course, and in return Nix is willingly submissive, accepting that she must never drink of another dragon's blood less she be exiled... or worse, and acts as Hallow's subordinate in both private matters and as the lunar witch's apprentice of sorts. For her, it is a happy trade off, one she barely considers a trade at all, for the lunar witch does not fear her and she does not wish to harm anyone regardless of her dark instincts. |
