This dragon has seen far too much. When you gaze into his eyes, on the occasion you manage to catch them, you are struck by the hollowness therein. There is a darkness that their deep fuschia color cannot mask, one which speaks of a drake dealt a losing hand.

Perhaps that it why he speaks only when necessary. There are none among his clanmates who he would claim as friends, and none who would claim him likewise. He has become adept at dissuading others from taking interest in him over the years; if his glowering countenance fails to frighten them off, then his cruel tongue is certain to do the trick. Particularly persistent pests may be rewarded with tolerance, but more likely, they will find themselves on the business end of his sword.

It’s the way folks in his line of business are, some claim. With both formidable magic and skill with weaponry, he is in high demand. Those seeking power clamor for his aid, offering money, land, and even their own children’s hands in marriage should he work for them. He has seen more war than all of his clanmates combined, or so rumors would have you believe. It is as much a part of him as the spells he casts, or the wicked black blade at his hip…

...and on his scales, you swear you smell copper.

What he is like in private, no one can say. He has taken no mate, fathered no children, and if he has a family, he has long since left them behind. There may be warmth in him, but a dragon who can draw it out has yet to show themself.
