he dove into the sciences when a mysterious, cold fungus began eating at his extremities after he raced the Scarred Wasteland and the Southern Icefield in quick succession. He was once one of Sornieth's best aerial racers, but can now barely fly or see without the support of his copper prosthetics. The unique fungus has been paused, or at least very slowed, by the warm climate of the Sunbeam Ruins.
He has access to a wealth of knowledge in the Light domain, which he takes full advantage of under the Sanctuary's protection. It helps general opinion of him that his somewhat-selfish research endeavors have generated cures for other illnesses. He's taken up a leadership role in the clan, as he is the second-longest Nature resident, after Verdant. His companion, Veleroth, has helped Darwin look for natural and natural-derived cures for his strange ailment, and has come to greatly care for the clan and Light flight. Bloomagi is his Flight's Gem Guardian, and is the fighting muscle of the Nature Embassy, even if she doesn't look it. She may be small, but she has the power of the Gladekeeper at her tiny fingertips. Sho and Shi are the best lab assistants, and help Darwin run his various Arithmetic and Sciences classes when he's having a bad ache day or is busy. Sho on the left likes math while Shi on the right loves biology. They have a system all worked out, it's almost like magic when they work together on things.  |
