Biography
Isra the Ancient
Significantly older than the great populace of Sornieth and even in her age healthy enough to rival an Imperial in size, Isra is the start and end of many beastclan legends. She isn't perfect in body, having her wings go lame many years ago was the start of her mechanical aids. Her hide is littered with dark scars and deep wrinkles, her lithe neck and sharp-boned face queenlike and intimidating. She was once a great broodmother, laying nests and training her young to go to windsinger, but she's shifted her talents elsewhere after one of her own caught tragedy. Her most promising apprentice and beloved son had been stolen by the beastclans, perhaps never to be seen by her ever again. She still remembers being bound by centaur ropes in the ash, speaking her last words to her son before slipping into unconsciousness. Since then, she has protected all those who train under her as if they'd been hatched her own. Never again will she lose someone so entirely, not like she lost Caz. Though he lives under a new name in a new clan, Caz -- now Ylisse -- must live with fleeting contact with his parents, lest his cover be blown.
Logan the Old is her mate and travelling companion, a jolly fellow who keeps love in her heart and kindness in her claw despite what her time on sornieth has given her. Together they have raised many noble warriors and exalted fighters. They keep close track of them in their lives, and do their best to respond to any letters.
