Put quite simply, Luc is a dragon who knows how to get things. Additionally, he is very good at actually getting the things. Perhaps too good. But as long as he keeps bringing home weapons (inanimate or otherwise), the most the crew will do is complain about the volume of the ten or so clanking weapons that adorn the walking armory that is Luc.

He really is very good at getting things, as long as your definition of "things" is entirely restricted to weapons. Luc is very, very good at getting his claws on weapons. Anything else, though... maybe go ask Locke.
