Description: "I once believed a love such as this to only exist in stories, those which pierce poor aching hearts like our own, but you- you, my darling- may color me a fool for believing something so laughable! Oh, love, won't you let me prove what you truly mean to me?" It's words Ennui swears she'd said a hundred times in one way or another. But, she'll just as strongly swear that she's truly meant them with every new utterance and every new partner. She's a lover, she insists, she can't help how quickly (and severely) she falls. As long as she can pick herself up again, there's no harm done. But the reason why the women she courts don't seem to stay... is something for her to know and others to forget. Relationships always lasted far longer before she had to move to the Scarred Wasteland, but nowadays her affairs are fleeting. And, as much as it displeases her, life must carry on that way. These flings are what's keeping her alive, after all. Yet she'll still write proclamations of love and never send them, instead shoving them in a desk drawer or burning the ones she can't stand to think about. And when their faces are still out there (offering her a slight smile, looking as beautiful as she left them, and surely anticipating another date sooner or later), going out is even more unbearable than staying alone with her thoughts. So, most of the time, she's home. She goes back to her time in the Sunbeam Ruins, when she once aspired to work with her passions one day. At her desk, she just sketches. For hours on end, it's precise measurements and minor adjustments, sweeping motions and spinning papers. And, at the end, Ennui will look over her work. It may be a citadel, or a home, or a specific room. Inside a specific room will be markers, general shapes with the label of another sketch. If something doesn't fit in the room, she'll design a new piece. Hell, she's drawn up so many new fireplaces and bookcases she can barely keep count. But that's fine. Because, at the end, she'll roll up those diagrams (all those buildings, all those pieces of furniture, perfectly measured and ready to be built) and carefully file them away, perhaps never to see the light of day again. Others just end up wondering how she goes through all that paper so quickly.
