Ryoku had a tough childhood, being born in the Abiding Boneyard. From the moment he could walk out of the egg, his clan tested him and made sure he could survive. Every hatchling was tested in some way- seeing what diseases they could withstand, throwing them in a cage with a Beastclan member, leaving them only the slightest scraps of food to fight over. The strongest grew older. The weakest did not. Any survivors that did not seem strong enough for the clan, was sent to Plaguebringer instead. Ryoku was one of the lucky ones- fast and strong, even fresh out of his egg. He got as much food as he could. He battled the Beastclan members pitted against him, sometimes leaving with permanent scars. And he survived the diseases they introduced to him. To his clan, he was the perfect dragon.
