Kindra was born in a small village where every one knew everyone and nothing got past them. Before she was 4 years old she began to notice that she and her siblings were being treated differently to the other children. She questioned her father about it since her mother was out all the time gathering herbs and fruits for the market. "They do not trust anyone from regions other than where we live," He said. She then realize that everyone else had shades of purple eyes while her father had light green eyes. "While they might not trust us, we must treat them with kindness and respect for we are one and the same." Her father was a very wise dragon who grew up treating others with the same kindness and respect that he showed his kids and mate. He hoped to pass this on to his kids but it all was in vain. Her siblings never learned that lesson and, at the age of 10, ultimately paid with their lives. Kings Guards don't take a liking to snotty brats who think they know everything. Her poor mother met a similar fate attempting to protect her children..

That day was one that no one in the village could ever forget. Father cried for days with his daughter in their house. She decided to learn as much as she could about the woods and what it had to offer herb and foodwise. She became a recluse and didn't talk much as she began her studies on herbal medicine. At the age of 19, she was content to become the village medicine dragon but fate had something else in mind. She was passing vendors in the market when she got word of a Celestial passing in town. Having never seen one in person she rushed at the opportunity to meet this dragon face to face. Her she met Consonance, who was travelling throughout the villages looking for an apprentice. As soon as their eyes met he knew he had found the right dragon.

B I O G R A P H Y

Kindra found him odd at first as well as large and intimidating. She however could not shake the feeling that he was important in her journey to become a better healer. After talking to him for a little while, she decided that she would have a better future if she were to accompany him back to his clan. She brought Consonance back to her childhood home to gather her things and to say goodbye to her father. She found him still tending to the small garden that had been around for many years. They all talked about her future and while her father was sad to see his remaining child leave, he was very proud, wished her well and told her to write home often.

The next morning, Kindra left with Consonance back to the new clan. It was a long walk but eventually they came to the border. She was sad but relieved to be having a new start at life. At first the small clan was weary and untrusting of the newcomer but it was put to ease once Vega welcomed her to the clan. She was accepted as a full member after a small sacred ceremony was held. In Kindra’s clan, they would get physically close to the other and that is how they would let the other know that they were interested.
