Biography

6th Gen Naomi Descendant

Naomi -> Willow -> Thorn -> Ash -> Dust -> Thorncall

About Naomi: The original bug report chronicle.

Clan Role: Sign Language Interpreter for the Clan

Thorncall is a mostly normal Mirror dragon. You know, runs down his prey, eats like a starving vacuum cleaner, and hangs out with pack. His pack may mostly be non-Mirrors and whoever happens to take a liking to him, but eh, as long as they can help him hunt.

His shadows, on the other hand, are a bit of a different story. His clanmates swear that his shadow will sometimes move on its own and “look” at them with briefly glowing eyes. Some have even claimed that his shadow has waved at them. Also, wherever he stays for long periods of time, a strange mossy plant tends to grow underneath him. This tends to get a better reaction as it’s surprisingly soft underfoot, though for some reasons it smells of honeydew melon. The floor of Thorncall and Rivervein’s lair is covered with this moss. It never seems to need water or fertilizer, but they do need to let some light into their lair for it to remain healthy.

Thorncall knows sign language, but is not himself deaf or mute. He learned how to sign as a way of communicating silently while hunting in a pack. This ended up serving him well when he found his way to the Driftwood Clan, as a couple of its Beastclan members and traders are hard of hearing, and it also meant that Rivervein had someone she could talk to without having to scribble on a notepad. Aside from serving as a sign language interpreter when needed, he assists with the hunting, and will even “hunt” Rivervein’s favorite plant foods on occasion.

When no one is looking, he will sometimes entertain himself by having his shadow do a shadow puppet show on the wall.
