Biography
Dahlia’s Spotify Playlist
A thousand nights. It took a thousand nights for the world to end. She knew this because the little seer told her so. He told her they were planning, the Council of Seers. He said it, noting that smirk of hers, the one Elysian was so afraid of. He said this with no fear. And Dahlia embraced the end when it came. It came in bursts. One sip of wine, one tap of claws, one turn of the cauldron at a time. Dahlia looked to the sun, hidden half by the trees and half by the darkness, and she smirked.
Eclipses were her favorite.
When the moon covered the sun she could momentarily remember what it felt like for her friend to be there, to be... home... and she laughed to herself, alone in her den once more. Dahlia overshadowing Sunny, and then he'd be bright and shining the next day with another joke to tells and a message to deliver.
Friends were a thing of the past, then, she reminded herself.
Escape.
Escape.
Escape.
Find Sunny.
Escape.
"Run as fast as you can, little Dahlia. Your curse will follow, and so will we."
Dahlia traveled to Elysian with Chance, who is practically her older brother, and Sunny, who was practically her younger one. They hopped from clan to clan together, never settling in one place. Dahlia would wreak havok in each location, and the other two Wildclaws would look away from her tricks. Dahlia never wanted to stay in Elysian, but she didn't really have a choice as the Council finally caught up with her.
Chance immediately liked the dragons in the city; they were fun to perform in front of. Sunny "accidentally" became the Messenger of Elysian, until he disappeared one day and was never seen again. Chance and Dahlia prefer not to talk about their old friend, but they feel the loss on their shoulders every day. Dahlia's hate for the city increased tenfold after the incident, and Chance couldn't bring himself to leave without her.
She tried using her magic and witchcraft to break the curse, but to no avail. It's quite ironic, as Elysian is known for how captivating the city is, and dragons hardly ever want to leave the city. But not Dahlia. She is still in her little hut, brewing and stirring and learning and trying everything to break the curse, but she still hasn't found it. She longs for the day where she will be set free, but the dragons of Elysian now consider her a permanent resident.
- Many dragons know her as the Witch with that odd smirk of hers
- Picked in the Prettiest Dragon Above You thread three times ;)
- The half wine aunt and half crazy witch
A thousand nights for the world to end,
And all that history to impend,
Follow me to my dark den,
This tale to you I’ll lend:
The Counsel, they said that it would come,
The witch, she just refused to run,
Teeth in the dark and a cauldron half done,
Her plans only just begun.
Watch for the sunrise, look to the sky.
You’ll know that it’s coming when it doesn’t look right.
Look when the eclipse o’er the sun drapes.
You know that it’s coming. You have to escape.
Ah, that blind, stupid Imperial. Always getting involved in things he doesn't understand. Dahlia hums to herself as she stirs her caldron, and smirks at the tiny glass container holding a part of what Lucius thinks is his power. He truly didn't know what he was getting into when he stopped at my door, did he? The minor god(if you could even call him that) had just handed her the key to taking 'his' power away and returning it to the true owner. But the Witch doesn't do anything for free..
The brew will take a few days, but once it's finished I may just find a way out of this cursed city once and for all.
Dahlia was surprised when she found a letter addressed to herself in the mail. She read the scrawling letters, and for the first time in many moons, her sinister smirk turned into one of fear and malice. Taking in long, steady breaths of air, she returned to her cottage. WIthout even opening the letter, she threw it into the cauldron...
Dahlia, of Clan Elysian.
The gods of the Wood are stirring. Careful Witch, watch your step.
