COUSAT ; Squeamish | Curious | Hesitant

═══════════════════════════════════════════

Compared to his spirited and outgoing mentor, Cousat can seem quite timid. He enjoys being a beast-keeper in theory, but often struggles to put that passion into practice. It certainly doesn't help that he's a little squeamish at times. He's much more comfortable reading about the eating habits of a chimera than he is witnessing those habits first-hand. For the time being, he often sticks to working with the smaller animals. Given his small stature, many of the larger beasts seem far too intimidating for him to handle on his own.

Sed cursus diam eros, sed eleifend dui lobortis quis. Integer vitae purus ac erat pellentesque tincidunt sed et orci. Ut ac mauris rutrum ex euismod pulvinar. Cras hendrerit rhoncus placerat. Vivamus nec nisl est. Maecenas in augue bibendum, egestas lacus sed, laoreet nisl. Ut vulputate ipsum tellus, ut facilisis elit consectetur egestas. Contrary to what his role as beastkeeper's apprentice requires, Cousat often finds himself unnerved with the sight of blood and afraid to directly confront the creatures he's learning to keep in check. He was always a timid hatchling and even in his younger adulthood the habit of stepping back to let others take the stage has stayed with him. He's not entirely comfortable being in the backseat all the time, but he's never been sure how to push forward for himself, and he thinks he might need some help with that sometime...

"Don't worry, it's a good question," Cousat reassures with a smile, "I love talking about all the different species we manage!"

"I really enjoy working with rodents of any kind! Sparrow-mice, Rats, Chipskinks, that sort of thing. They're very smart and take well to training, so they make great companions. I'm also very fond of Wolpertingers, of course." He gestures to his familiar, Buck, who happily stomps his feet in response.

"As for my least favorite, well..." He taps a claw to his chin, thinking. "Basilisks are pretty difficult to wrangle. And not just because of the whole, y'know, um p-petrification thing. They tend to be very stubborn animals."
