Don't let Kafziel's dark coat and shadowy eyes fool you; there has rarely been a more sensitive and colorful dragon. Kafziel creates the clan's banners, tapestries, murals, and does any number of other artistic endeavors. He also creates wonderful masks, headdresses, and body paints come festival season.
Someone with as tender a soul as Kafziel seems out of place in the Aswon Wilds, but he's much heartier than he lets on. He does, however, make frequent visits to Calpernum to sell his wares and catch up with his sister, his friends and on his love life.

You might think that a dragon so smitten with color would seek only the most vibrant mates in the clan, but Kafziel's heart has been stolen by Taupe, the gray-coated skydancer. Her gentle soul means more to Kafziel than a rainbow coat ever could, and he only wishes she could see her own beauty.
Aside from their daughter Eilwyn who has dedicated her life to the Windsinger, Kafziel and Taupe also have a son, who through a series of events, has turned into a nocturne.
