Tarrasque, born deep in the heart of a mighty cave and having foraged the woods for food and supplies, has lived a life as something of a nomadic hermit. He has traveled across the world to even the most remote places, and having been born to the wild, he has learned to easily memorize a land and its topography and various ways to navigate in both the day and night.

He was never a dragon with much words. Since he moves from place to place, he has no family or friends to talk to. Since he is quiet and calm, animals tend to flock to him. He is always accompanied by his familiar, who he lovingly named Ottie. They both are proficient in hunting and scavenging for food in the wild.

He first met Hyacinthus and Prism during one of his wanders to another place to settle for a time. They were lost in the wilderness beneath a canopy of trees so thick that they could not fly into the sky, and night was closing in. He immediately set about to start a fire and get a temporary camp established and said virtually nothing to the pair no matter how many questions they threw at him or how they tried to get him to engage in conversation. His sole intention was to help them survive the night then see them out, so that he could go back to his own ways.

Come morning, put off by his stoic silence, Prism continues to get him to talk to them against the pleading of Hyacinthus to leave him alone. Prism kept asking if he wants to join them in her journey as they needed someone that could navigate for them. Tarrasque only sighed as he gave a small nod to them, and Prism continued to follow him even as they made it beyond the woods and more or less never really stopped following him even as he said nothing.
