Duvetyn is Tarrlok’s brother, and is also skilled with the same blood-manipulation magic. The biggest
difference between them is that Duvetyn uses his- and not for the best reasons. He believes that the
only way to unite dragonkind is for them all to be on the same level, so he uses his skill to block the
magic of dragons long-term. He scarred his brother Tarrlok when he spoke out against what he was
doing, but that didn’t deter Tarrlok (at least, not much). He leads a group of followers who believe
in his ways, and they go spreading ‘equality’- which is actually confusion and panic. His
followers have agreed to lose their magic to Duvetyn, but they don’t know that Duvetyn actually
never removed his own magic. Duvetyn is sometimes worried that they will find out- and his
plans, and possibly his life, will be over.
