BIOGRAPHY

____Ardest was an exuberant dragon from birth, Senet can attest to this, saying that even in her egg, Ardest was spunky. At times, her egg would shake rapidly, like she was ever so excited to burst forth and see the world. An explorer at heart, Ardest would occasionally leave the safety of her Clan lair and venture out with her mother, Karyu, to join her in finding rare plants. It was a dangerous and extremely difficult task, finding the places plants grow among the ice is something only someone with extensive training can do. Ardest loved seeing and learning new things and at a young age, she ventured out alone without her protective mother by her side. She was gone for weeks. The patrol dragons scoured every edge of the Southern Icefields for days searching, but they could never find her, and she was assumed dead. The Clan was devastated; unfortunately, losing hatchlings to the cold was ever too common. However, one day, Ardest returned. She was bigger, older, and in such a state of dishevel that no one recognized her at first. She had horrible deep lashes and cuts all over her frail body, and when you went to look at her eyes, once a beautiful icy blue, there was nothing there. They were gone. What remained were holes, reminders of what used to be. Ardest returned, but she returned a different dragon. She seemed to have lost that enthusiasm she used to have, becoming a dragon who rarely spoke and mostly kept to herself. Many have asked her what happened to her while she was gone, but she has always remained silent at the question. No one knows what transpired the weeks she had disappeared, but one can assume it was truly and utterly horrific.

BEHAVIOUR

____Ardest developed a love and passion for plants and herbs thanks to her mother, and although the Southern Icefields are very much lacking in abundant supply, she can find almost any sort of plant among the ice with ease. She has become an aromatherapist; because she lost her vision, her sense of smell has greatly heightened and she developed a knack for smelling out plants and herbs, gathering them for her store, using their smells to give many natural and mental benefits to her Clan mates. She often burns them to emit their delicious smells. She also presses pretty flowers and keeps them and will sometimes gift them to people she adores. Because of the mysterious trauma she endured years ago, she has become a very silent dragon, working without talking, keeping to herself and avoiding any sort of confrontation what so ever. She will never leave camp without her mother accompanying her, at the thought of leaving by herself, she begins to shake all over. Her and her mother collect plants together. When Ardest is with her mother, that is when she is most content. Ardest wears a blindfold to cover the holes where her eyes once were so as not to make any other dragons uncomfortable. Ardest has found comfort in her aromatherapy, finding that incense helps calm her nerves and rebalance herself. She truly is a sweet dragon, although a little jumpy, she is always available to help anyone who is looking to have their spirits lifted with the intoxicating smells of aromatherapy.
