B I O G R A P H Y
Azueqen and their siblings never got to learn the names of their parents. Soon after the terracotta hatchlings punctured the eggshell and emerged into the Highland Scrub, she was taken from their birth clan to be raised into another. Azueqen always pondered this transactional dynamic behind her birth in their younger years, haunted that they lacked the familial connection that other dragons retold of their origin clans. They held jealousy and hurt in their heart for this loss of family for a while. But, they eventually came to peace with having no answers and decided that they would find their own family. The clan that raised Azueqen was the Torre, a fortified tower in the outskirts of the Lightning Farm. The Torre is home to many dragons specializing in healing and researching the body, mind, and mana. Azueqen was adopted by a midnight dark coatl named Zilia, who was dedicated to giving the most affection and care to the young terracotta bogsneak. Over a year or two, she learned and fell in love with the art of druidcraft and chemistry. A serene druid named Farrow counseled them in scientific research and mana control. The Torre became her family, and they never had to look back to the past with regret. |
THE APPRENTICESHIP
Early into her druid apprenticeship, Azueqen learned of the partnership between the Torre and a covert of dragons residing in the Wiretangle Walk. The Torre frequently hired dragons from this covert for security and delivery work. Yet, Azueqen had not heard or seen their presence. Furthermore, they didn't meet members of the Beskaryc Covert until the leaders of the Torre announced that they would partner to begin an educational exchange program. Filled with curiosity, they immediately volunteered to participate in the new program. Thankfully, she was accepted. For the next few months, they learned under the Gaa'taylir of the covert, giving the assistance of her druidic arts as they taught her skills in negotiation and cryptography.
When Azueqen finally met the council of six dragons that oversaw and maintained the covert, they became fast friends. Her intuition told her that their bond would be everlasting. Upon Azueqen's return to the Torre, they rushed to their adoptive mother, Zilia. They told her it was time for them to leave the Torre for a new endeavor. Azueqen couldn't stop telling story after story of these new friends she found in the Beskaryc Covert. Zilia had long since realized that Azueqen had found something invaluable in these Beskaryc dragons and promptly gave her child a blessing for this new adventure. They grieved together, knowing it wasn't an end but a new beginning. Azueqen returned hastily to the Wiretangle Walk and joined the Beskaryc Covert as a genuine member. After a year of living amongst the covert, Ysamere formally offered Azueqen the title, Chief Apothecarist of the Gaa'taylir. They accepted, of course, and suggested they expand the supreme council of the covert by employing other division experts. Ysamere agreed, eager to delegate some work from her shoulders. The She'cu of the Beskaryc Covert was soon formalized to be the covert's primary leadership system.
