B I O G R A P H Y
Qynelia was born in the first brood of Ilse and Infinity, esteemed members of the Nubivagant Hatchery. The clan was famous for rearing dragons of dignified "gem" genes and gorgeous complementary shades, but it resides in the most unwelcoming halls of the Rimebone Stockade. While sem parents were busy caring for sem wildclaw sister and brother, Qynelia wandered around the chilly layers of the Stockade's dark stone in search of something more interesting than old relics and shiny treasure. One day, the young umber hatchling had managed to access the uppermost chambers, lured by the rumors of the Icewarden's most valued artificers, the dragons responsible for researching their patron's most valued artifacts. Qynelia secretly observed these artificers as they worked and focused on studying the scientific and arcane practices they used to evaluate, modify, and engineer magical artifacts. Se discovered a talent for the arcane craft of items as if the Icewarden himself had awakened a long-hibernating power from within sem bloodline. Feeling bold and daring, Qynelia intruded the icy den of a departed artificer questing for supplies. Se uncovered a fortune of preserved materials and scientific tools to pillage for sem use. But, the unique items sem found were a forgotten spellbook and a pair of rose-gold goggles. The items looked ordinary, yet Qynelia could tell that the departed artificer had taken utmost care of these belongings. The goggles read the magical circuits of anything placed in focus. And the spellbook was an invaluable guide of mechanical engineering. |
THE TORRE AND THE COVERT
Not long after Qynelia had matured into a dragon, sem parents had accepted payment from a Lightning clan, known as the Torre, to rehome sem within the Lightning Farm. Young in the experience of electrical engineering, Qynelia was ecstatic to travel to the Shifting Expanse to improve sem skills with the best engineers in Sornieth. However, se realized that sem assumption was not correct after arrival.
The Torre is the home of healers and healthcare professionals that operated a hospital for the dragons injured in the duty of the Stormcatcher's tasks. Seeing the umber dragon's palpable disappointment, the Torre's elders elected to send sem to study amongst the Gaa'taylir of the Beskaryc Covert. Finally, in a hidden den in the Wiretangle Walk, Qynelia had found a group of engineers, welders, and crafters that welcomed sem talent for the arcane. Se made a reputation within the Covert as a master engineer who infused the science of mechanical and electrical engineering with arcane spellwork. |

Exalting Qynelia to the service of the Stormcatcher will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
