Yersinia

Yersinia has an air of nobility about him. His speech is urbane (if a bit snide), his steps are precise (if a bit performative), and his accent rings true to the upper echelons of society (if a bit too carefully cultivated). He prefers not to leave his lab, citing a preference not to associate with what he calls "the riffraff." He cares deeply about his image as a mysterious, refined, untouchable, handsome man of science. He backs this up with a deeper understanding of disease than any other plague researcher the clan has ever seen.

The understanding, Yersinia insists, is because of a lifelong dedication to his work. He insists he can't see infectious sites, and insists he has never once been able to determine the spread of disease just by looking. He insists he just pays attention... but anyone who's ever seen his face knows that Yersinia is lying. He normally guards it very carefully, and wears goggles and armor to keep it under wraps, but Yersinia is connected to his element so strongly that he could probably take a drink from the Wyrmwound and survive. It comes at a price, though, as any gift of Plague does.

His otherwise beautiful body sports a face so twisted, it can cause nightmares in anyone who looks at it. Yersinia hates himself for it.

He is touchy and insecure, sharp and aggressive. He is only polite if given almost sniveling amounts of deference. He is also one of Clan AXQU's best weapons againt the Beastclans. Yersinia specializes in bioweapons: bacteria, viruses, mutagens, parasites, and prions. Luckily for his colleagues (and the few he calls friends), Yrsinia finds the taking of draconic life through bioweapons to be a horrid thing, and works to cure diseases in dragons. But spreading an infertility plague that disables Talonok and Harpy egg laying ability? Spreading a virus through the oceans that kills Maren months and months after they've eaten tainted fish? A parasite that slowly devours the minds of Longneck and Centaurs? That, Yersinia can get behind.
