HISTORY
A siren originally hatched in the Spiral Keep, as a child Ladore ventured frequently into the warmer waters of the Fishspine Reef, where they found simultaneous comfort in the ancient dead and new life that thrived therein. Never a strong singer, Ladore found their siren-esc capabilities highlighting in dance. They found that by snaking their long body into hypnotic patterns, they could entrance and trap prey before snapping them up for dinner. Ladore grew into these skills, and learned how to twirl and prance along with the constantly fluctuating currents of the deep.While weaving through the bubbles above the Keep, Ladore accidentally ran through and inhaled one of the rising missives of the lost Tidelord, changing their perspective permanently. Their mind roiled with strange words and symbols, chaotic and alien to Ladore’s mind. Of course, direct contact/interference with these prophecies was sacrilege to their clan, so they were excommunicated to wander the edges of the Tidelord’s realm. It is in this ragged, broken-minded state that the Haven took Ladore in. Heavensent, Nemesis, and Tessitura were taking an idle flight down the coast, reminiscing on their time spent in the sea, and scoping out possible new territories (this was before the clan had grown to the point of moving into Singer’s Brook). They spotted a long, coral-encrusted dragon washed ashore, and flew down to assist. Ladore was wasting away, malnourished and rooted into by the bone-eating corals of the reef. The three Haven members were able to carry them to the clan lair, where they were tended by Diego and Vicereine. Ladore recovered slowly, but once they had they wanted to forget what state they were found in. They preened and perfected the coral permanently fused to their body, they instituted an aloof distance between themselves and all other dragons in the clan, but did not leave. They slotted into the ambassador program, became a regular guest of Vicereine, and perform hypnotic dances for the clan in honor of water-based holidays. They don’t mention their former clan, their experience with the Tidelord’s prophecy, or their years of wandering the sea... Unless pressed, or heavily inebriated (Author’s Note: The information included in this bio was obtained through a combination of both methods.) |
