A strange noise rattled through the Oracle's ventilation system. No one on the crew could seem to figure out where it was coming from. After three days, Solar, the ship's engineer, volunteered to slip into the vents and put a stop to the noise once and for all.

It was dark, even with his light, so he shuffled slowly, and was thankful he was keeping a slow pace when a small creature scuttled in front of him. Its eyes (all four of them) gazed at him hungrily.

"This must be a rat like we have back home", Solar thought, and scooped up the rat to show the Captain.

The Captain was alarmed by the neon coloured rat. It certainly was not as cute or soft as the rats she remembered. But it looked very hungry, and had calmed down a little from its desperate scramble to escape Solar's tight grip. It seemed to be a little curious, if not annoyed that it had been pried from its new home in the vents.

"What should we do with it?" Questioned the Captain. "Obviously it can't live here, but I don't want to leave it all alone, either."

The pair stopped their conversation mid-sentence as their ship flew over a substantially sized pyramid. Several creatures could be seen around the structure, in all sorts of different shapes and colours. They seemed to be the same breed as the creature nibbling absentmindedly on Solar.

"Look!" he cried. "More rats! Do you think they could be this little ones family?"

"I don't really care if they are mortal enemies. Just set that thing down there so we can sleep without all the racket again!"

Solar carefully placed the rat within sight of the pyramid.

"Go," he said gently "Go do crimes."
