- andy is a blacksmith. or metalsmith, whatever you call it. he's been creating weapons and whatnot in the wasteland for all his life, and as a result, he's pretty dang good at it.
- lately though, andy has been having strange dreams. they started hazy, mere flashes of something he couldn't quite grasp, and gone the next morning. each night, however, they became more clear. he eventually remembered having a recurring dream of him at his anvil, making something- it didn't seem to matter what- when suddenly, something went wrong. it took many nights for andy to remember what that something is, something more than the stomachache he woke up with instead of memories.
- the first dream he had of this realization was of him at his anvil as usual, when suddenly his capsule stomach broke open. he fell to the ground, molten gold seeping into the floor, staining his talons- and then he woke up.
- after that night, andy's dreams- no, nightmares- only became more and more vivid. sometimes the liquid metal in his stomach would leak out like a wound, or come out through his mouth- after which andy would wake up with bile in his throat- or sometimes the substance traveled into his veins.
- after several dreams of this, he started dreaming of the substance melting him, sometimes from inside, other times from the outside. whether writhing in his workshop, thrown in a vat of lava, often even in the wyrmound itself, andy dreamed of himself melting.
- then one night, while dreaming about sinking to the bottom of the wyrmwound, he dreamed he split in two.
- it didn't take long for andy to fully remember his transformation in his dreams. a terrible beast with two heads and two tails, one who he seemed to become every time he slept.
- nowadays, while andy is awake, he is reminded of his nightmares. he stands by his anvil- in real life this time- and looks down at his capsule stomach. he's still nauseous from the countless tormenting nights before. he looks to his talons, the hammer and raw iron he holds, and he realizes that he is shaking.
- this creature- what is it?
- is it me in a past life? is it me right now? or... is it something i'll become in the future?
- whatever it is, just please... please don't be real.

- runs a little forge in the wasteland
- took somer in and cares for her, noting she's not from around here and was struggling to survive
- he cares for/pities somer and sometimes wishes he could be stronger so he could protect her
- emphasis on the word "strong" lol
- he knows he's not physically powerful or brave, and the only reason he's survived so long is because his blacksmith skills and goods are useful to his customers. deep down he thinks of himself as a coward and is ashamed of it
