Personality Stardust is just like his name, glittering, compact, and everywhere. Even though he was rather young (especially when compared to his clanmates, Stardust made up for his size and age with his energy. He was almost constantly smiling, moving around his candy factory (taking up an entire corner of the Kombi clan’s territory) with almost fiersome speed. While eccentric, Stardust was always kind to hatchlings. Giving out candy like they were trinkets that he had found when he was sent out with a gathering party. Whenever he actually left his factory, Stardust found himself with an entourage of hatchlings trailing after him like he was the Pied Piper. Though, he couldn’t stay out of his factory forever, how else would candy get made? Of course, he often got cold in his metal laboratory (which he pronounces as la-boro-tory), so he took a Cloudgazer Arctic Cloak to keep coazy. Biography Stardust wasn’t always a candy maker, once (a long long time ago) he was just merely a skydancer hatchling out of others. Raised in a community of almost every single breed (save for Mirrors, the savage natured species having no place in the softness of his original clan), Stardust grew up with two mothers. One of them was a coatl, and the other being a Skydancer. Of course, Stardust could tell from their extremely close colors that they weren’t his biological mothers, but they were his mothers all the same. But eventually, the time came for him to leave. Not because he was forced, not because he felt unfulfilled, but because he knew it was time. Like a Guardian knew they were meant to begin the Search, Stardust knew he wasn’t meant to stay in the Mullido Clan. And so he left. He left to find his place among others like him. None of them the same, none of them alike but all of them united. He found a place for himself there, he found himself a home. Candy maker was not a title that Stardust took lightly. It was not as light at the fairy floss that he spun in bowls harnessing winds that he got from trading crystalized and edible gems. He knew it looked like it, like it was fun and games and sweet as sugar all the time. But Stardust knew better, it took magic to keep everything running smoothly. That didn’t mean he didn’t love it though! It took hard work to keep up but honestly, Stardust could swear that it all became worth it as the hatchlings (and those who could no longer be considered hatchlings) flooded into his shop to see what new goodies he had made for them. As much as keeping an entire candy factory functioning by himself was, Stardust loved it. The slightly eccentricity allowed by his job and the warmth of the heating areas. The sound of shattering taffy immediately after freezing. The stomp of snapper feet on his tiled floors and the gently hums of coalts got him moving to welcome the not-still hatchlings to come see the newest treats that were edible (after a fae had gotten into some uncured sugar and gotten sick, Stardust made sure to keep the hatchlings away from any unprepped sugar. Keeping kids away from sugar was like keeping flies away from honey, hard but worth it in the end. And so Stardust kept everything safe, and so his clan was safe, and so he was safe. |
