Born and raised in the Gladeveins, Gladys is nothing if not nurturing.

This gentle snapper has been helping around the hearth since she was a hatchling. She's always loved making people smile, and she does that best with her skills in the kitchen. Motherly and selfless, she's happy to share her cooking secrets, her meals, and her heart with anyone who's willing to take them.

Yes, she can be a bit of a chatterbox, but it's hard to get mad at her when you're enjoying a home-cooked meal from someone who really cares about you.
Gladys has recently taken up work as a chef for the Laughing Foo inn, working for Avani, the spiral innkeeper. She's always excited to exchange recipes and cooking tips with travelers.

Calm as she seems, her godson, Mossclaw, can make her a little frantic. He's sweet-tempered like her, but his daredevil streak manifests in his determination to do his job. She knows his work is important, but something about seeing him cut up plants she's been taught were incredibly toxic since youth makes her uneasy.
Zamji, Gladys' favorite mate, is an equally sensitive soul, and she's good at unwinding him and his longneck companions with fresh greens and lovingly sliced fruit. The duo's daughter, Orosi, may have taken after her father's career, but Gladys is always happy to have her at the inn.

Within the clan, Gladys' friends include Noelle, Switch, and Inoa. All of them are regular clients, and she has their usual orders memorized down to the letter.
Gladys' closest friends are Gâteau and Spire. Spire is her longtime cooking partner during Mistral Meals, while Gâteau is a new friend looking to start her bakery in the stormy capital of Galehart.
