Biography
VANAGLORIA, THE WANDERER
❝ Clouds of grey loomed in the skies above me in these plains and steppes of old, taunting of an impending storm. When the rain began to fall, it was all but relentless – and drove me directly bounding towards the safety and shelter of what looked to be a small crag in the distance. Upon the face of the Zephyr rock was a rift in its seams so hidden you'd wonder how you'd even seen it through the shower in the first place. Warily, I had made my way into this cave, hoping that this unplanned spelunking would not further my worries of today.
Drawn to the space of this cozy cavern, my talons tread forward – and the sound of endless rain echoes as you further into the unknown, are all but left behind. I am quite glad my sight and senses had not failed me, yet – as I observed dimly glowing etchings began to present themselves to me!
As I make my way further and further into this mysteriously immeasurable beyond, this runic language, though venerable – is just barely decipherable.
[ Legend tells of an ages-old colony tucked beneath the mountains of the Shifting Expanse. Eons of scholars that only share their wisdom with those hardy enough to last the perilous landscape and journey into the systems. ]
Astonished, I all but seek out the secrets of this grandiose claim, and after a lingering, exhausting trek into the heart of these steppes, so I do find it indeed –
Behold: an ancient, colossal cave. A huge, expansive underground chamber with countless systems, and many a dragon, hard at work. Here, they move as one – harnessing their physical and magickal forces to power this magnificent structure. Backlit by glowing cyan energy, lines of strange, tangible auras line the entirety of olden rock to the main event of my discovery. They lead in runic lines towards the middle... and in this center of the cave, are a duo of primeval, mountainous spires. They beg to hold knowledge that has been under wraps near the beginning of time – the Typhoon Towers.
In-tune with the inner workings of the lands and skies, the creatures of this clan have familiarized themselves with a new, efficient way of harnessing the energy of Sornieth.
Adept structures unseen by the outside world utilize the power radiating from the very strings that tie the world together – woven with expertise and control. This new method of obtaining vitality sustains the Typhoon Towers in a recyclable manner, without harming the creatures or the territories around them in any way. It is fascinating and unlike anything my aged eyes have ever seen before.
These structures date centuries old, with sculptures embedded into the rock telling stories of old – and sporting blueprints of the Clan’s unique works. - Some structures are completely underground, and others allow light from the skies in through apertures and openings.
The workers here are dragons more ancient than ones I have met in my lifetime – at first glance, their variations imply they hail from different flights... though as I observe, their actions are calculated and symbiotic. Perhaps– their flight of origin is nothing in particular? Nonetheless, I now seek to discover more about such a perplexing clan, and what drives them to exist in such silence!
