Biography

arcanetop.png
Born into an arcane flight, Elymus was born surrounded by magic. It was in every fiber of of the world around him, running through his own veins like water in a river. It was as important as breathing and he knew this even as a hatchling. He wanted to become a powerful magician, capable of spells strong enough to help his older brother fight in wars. He was not skilled with weapons like his brother but he what spells worked best for situations. He learned words of power that could generate impenetrable shields for a few seconds, spells of healing, spells that could blast enemies back a few dozen feet, and words that would blind and enemy. The spells were not easy to learn and it took Elymus years to master them enough to be helpful to his clan.

Over the years, as the skydancer fought alongside his brother, he felt that he was not living up to his full potential. As his brother became more skilled and trained others, Elymus slowly stopped using his spells and words of power to fight. He wanted to become more of a scholar, wanted to learn as much magic as his mind would allow him to. The dragon turned now to books, reading tomes of ancient text and learning more about the magic that wove its way in and out of every living being. As he learned, his appreciation for the magic grew and he began to understand it more. Magic was not simply something that was around them, it was as if it was a live being, something that acted consciously.

Elymus shared his knowledge with others, travelling around to other clans and spending much time in the lands of the Lightweaver. Dragons there, he knew, searched for knowledge their whole lives and wished to learn as much as they could in that time. They appreciated his search as well, introducing him to rare journals of dragons long since passed from this world. His archaic skills grew and Elymus now knew words of power that could help plants to grow, that could heal the mind, words that would grant a mute dragon the ability to speak. And everything that he learned, he shared. The words he learned were taught to others and he healed with his magic, proud to have found his purpose.
