Brys could remember his parents perfectly, and sometimes he would return to his old hunting grounds with Steeljaw by his side, just to make sure that they were still thriving. He knew that neither of his parents could remember where they had come from. They were part of a generation of stolen eggs, and because of this he felt it was his duty to make sure they kept in contact with at least one of their children.

He and Steeljaw wandered around a lot, being sent on tasks by the Boneguards and those who controlled them. The latest task they had been given had led them to Dragonhome and the clan of tears in their wonky tavern. It was new territory for Brys, but they were following the spread of the contagion and it was their job to observe and report.

He knew at least that he would get to fight while with this clan - something that always calmed his nerves - and as long as his friend was by his side, he could remain in control. To the clan of tears he was calm and collected, if a little bloodthirsty. When it was just he and Steeljaw alone, he could be his true, uncertain self.
