______ “Welcome to Etheria Perfugium,” Truffle greeted with a calming, sweet smile. “What would you like to have?” ______ Fauriei smiled back, trudging towards the bar counter in that gorgeous open-air café. The atmosphere there always relaxed him—or was it the owner’s own calm demeanor? Either way, “Just a cup of coffee, please.” ______ The Tundra didn’t reply, but turned around to start a brew while maintaining a light conversation. “Long day?” ______ A shrug. “Kind of. Raspberry needed some help with the crops, and Lady Larima was away, so I decided to step in.” ______ ”I see,” Truffle nodded. Not five minutes later, he came back with a cup of something that was clearly not coffee. “Here you go.” ______ “I thought I asked for coffee?” Fauriei stared confusedly, but picked it up anyway and took a sip. As the liquid slid down his throat, he was enveloped with a refreshing and relaxing feeling. ______ “You did,” Truffle replied airily. “However, I thought you’ll want and need this more. Chamomile Tea, sprinkled with some magic.” The barista winked. ______ The coatl laughed and shook his head in amusement. However, he couldn’t deny that the barista was right. Of course he was, Truffle always knew what’s best for his customers. |

______ Truffle doesn’t have Larima or Fauriei’s sense of leadership, but he always had wanted to help others in his clan. ______ That’s how Etheria Perfugium café came to be; so just as named, Truffle can create an ethereal place where others can seek shelter in—a place to ease their daily burdens. ______ He uses his love for drinks and snacks—tea, coffee, bread, and cookies alike—as a mean to reach others. Combined with his gentle persona and amazing people reading skills, Truffle provides the best café experience any customer can ever dream of. ______ It also helps that he manages to find a perfect spot for said café. Under the refugee of an ancient Wilteria tree—a magical species resembling both a willow and a wisteria only found sparingly across Sornieth—the place has an otherwordly view. Especially with the hanging fairy lights and wild fireflies floating at night, giving a luminescent glow. |
