Biography

Rank 2
Astronomer

I am Stellaris, my father is Dalamar and my mother is Death. While you can view our relation in my appearance, you do not see it in who I am. I am neither a powerful spellcaster, nor a great warrior. I spent many a moon under the teachings of my father, but the elements did not bend to my will. When this was apparent, my mother attempted to train me, but despite my immense size and power, battle does not suit me well, my dexterity is far too lacking for such things.

I feared for the longest time that I had disappointed them. I knew my father had lost many young in the great ambush on our clan, and part of him thought I would be similar to them, maybe to help fill the void they left, but I am different. For many moons I wallowed in my thoughts, wishing to change who I am to be more like my family.

Things changed. Whilst staring into the dark sky one night, the stars spoke to me. It sounds ludicrous, and I can't really explain it, but their shines, their movements tell a story, and it is constantly changing to tell what was, what is, and what might be. I told my father of this, and he requested a scribe to note down what I see in them. Everyone was sceptical at first, and for a long while after, but then it happened.

The stars foretold that new members would be joining our clan, nothing that wouldn't happen anyway, sure, but these were different. They were to be an ancient breed, dripped in the shadowbinder's embrace, born to fly in great packs, with terribly quick wings and snakelike bodies. Sure enough, Leela and Beetle revealed themselves to us.

My father greatly approves of my newfound gift, and whenever the stars talk to me he listens too, and the scribes are always hounding me for new writings. I hope in time I will bring much useful information and foresight for my clan, and I'm beyond happy that I have found my use here.
