the Cursed

personality:: jesting
spirit name: Torin
true name: n/a
true age: 439
━━ about ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
    Torin is a magician who specializes in applying his tricks for criminal means. A rather flamboyant dragon with an insatiable desire for attention, he enjoys partaking in routines of thievery. Torin carefully positions himself in dark corners and deserted alleyways, then draws the attention of those who pass by with such distractions as summoned smoke and conjured flashes of light. Occasionally he adds sound to his performances as well, mimicking the sound of a hatchling’s cry or the wail of an injured animal. When an unwary soul comes to investigate, he renders them helpless with unconsciousness or magical binds, and proceeds to help himself to their possessions. Torin has also been known to experiment with other tactics such as impersonating a messenger of the deities or an enraged officer of the law; whatever the scam of the day may be, he delights in the ways others look at him when he holds their fortunes in his claws. Looks of fear and anger and total obliviousness each please him in their own way, as long as they are looks meant especially for him. Outside of thieving operations, an observer might find Torin to be prone to daydreams and pensive thought; indeed, he is not terribly organized, and enjoys pondering the deeper questions of life. For Torin, even mundane things are worthy of deep consideration, and it is rare that he can find another who is willing to listen to his rambling diatribes on philosophy. In his youth, he was something of an outcast among his peers for his slightly awkward mannerisms, and it was in lonely moments that he practiced the magic which would one day earn him his living. While others sought to facilitate subtle misery with their magical abilities, Torin focused on the grand and showy tricks that would one day earn him his living. Now he makes his way through the world demanding the attention of others, and is determined to no longer be overlooked in the way he was as a young dragon.
