"Politic, cautious, and meticulous..." Representatives of the island's peach tree spirits manifested after an unfortunate incident involving two coatl dragons who inadvertently destroyed a peach tree to create a magical staff; the dying spirit cursed them, and said curse had some interesting effects on the clan until the spirits Taohua and Taozhi were summoned to help by Xo, one of the coatl who had brought the curse down on the clan. They were initially angry that she had dared to summon them and even angrier once they learned what she and Sombra had done to one of their brethren, but they realized this would be a good opportunity to present themselves to the clan's residents and set some guidelines on how they could both exist peacefully. The peach tree spirits give themselves no titles, but nonetheless, it is clear that Taozhi serves as their leader. She is the one who keeps the peach tree spirits organized, and she is always polite and demure, even when showing off her immense power in the defense of the trees and spirits under her protection. Long ago, she aided other earth spirits in the growing of an enormous peach tree that was later used to construct the door to the dark castle of the monarch of the spirit realm, inadvertently connecting her with a prophecy about said monarch's return. The peach tree spirits have taken the form of coatl in mimicry of the majority of the clan's residents, making themselves brown in color with pink markings resembling peach blossoms or ripe peaches. Birds are quite fond of landing on them. The spirits are powerful and have long protected the island's grove. They managed to secure it during the Barrier Breach when malevolent spirits flooded the clan, but there are some forces that are hard to defend against, and a foul wind from plague territory that blighted their trees was one of them. Thankfully, a shrine maiden and her attendant temple guard were dispatched from a temple devoted to the Gladekeeper to help save the trees.
