When the clan was first founded, Aeolos, Opaleus, and Jayce were the first to join. They were a trio of teenage pearlcatchers who ran away from their old home, for reasons... well, the reason still gives Aeolos nightmares. As one of the most longterm clan residents, though, Aeolos is quite well-respected. As a kid, he helped the clan founders gather food and supplies. He was a proficient flier and was able to quickly reach places far away. Then as Aeolos aged and the clan grew in size, he took on the job of delivering mail instead. He excelled in this position and became known as a very quick and efficient courier, though he remained humble about it- so when a young skydancer asked to become his apprentice one day, Aeolos was rather bashful. He and his apprentice, Shayle, ended up becoming very good friends and have a delightful camaraderie, strengthening further when Shayle graduated from apprentice to coworker. Aeolos is quite grateful for him and all the other bonds he's made living here in the Starfall Isles. |

Other than fellow dragons, though, Aeolos' closest companion is his hippojay familiar, Steer. He's pretty decent at delivering packages himself, as long as he doesn't feel like eating them. Aeolos mainly takes him as a flying companion, and even lets the hippojay hold his pearl when his own talons are full. They've been with each other for their entire lives, after all. There's next to no one Aeolos trusts more.
Some nights, when unpleasant memories creep in and he needs to clear his head, Aeolos goes on flights alone. And no matter how sociable the courier is by day, in these moments Steer is the only one allowed to join him. These times are best shared with his favorite feathered companion. |

OPALEUS - QUEERPLATONIC Aeolos, Opaleus, and Jayce all have a queerplatonic relationship. They have a long history together, and he also helped raise Aeolos' hatchlings, Amren and Rosse. Aeolos used to fuss over him after his leg injury, but he knows now Opaleus is perfectly capable by himself. |

JAYCE - QUEERPLATONIC Aeolos, Opaleus, and Jayce all have a queerplatonic relationship. They have a long history together, and also co-parented their one hatchling, Amren. These two know they can always rely on each other and often have lengthy discussions that last 'til the early morning. |
