All light dragons know that darkness is a necessity. If not for shadows, we wouldn't have contrast, and everything would just be a blinding white. It takes some of each to truly appreciate the other, for how would we know its importance if we do not first experience its absence?

While I am not old, I've lived a busy life. I've lived in three lairs, three mates; nine children. It wasn't until I left that I realized I hadn't gotten to know any of them. "Family" is a word that feels foreign; I've never had time for one. But, in a strange twist of fate, it seems I do now, and I will not let this opportunity slip through my fingers like I did the others.

Whisper and myself are the surviving members of a calamity, one which was manufactured by the old clan leader. While her disregard for us is stifling... There's a stillness in our newly empty lair. Space which can now be filled with new memories and opportunities.

One thing is for sure, I will not squander them this time.
