Having been through it all, Sophia has some kind of righteous indignation regarding the whole Gen1 business.
"One must have experienced the process of maturation without parental care to appreciate the deleterious effect of such an upbringing on the formation of dragon-egos. It is an experience one could not wish upon any dragon hatchling. Yet the hunt for eggs continues, alas, and countless treasures and gems are spent everyday in the production of these dragons that amount to nothing except expensive playthings for lair keepers, a kind of conspicuous consumption.
"What is worse, the great majority of hatchlings produced in this manner and forced through an uncaring, tortured childhood fail to produce the genetic traits deemed desirable by the so-called forces of the market, thus they are abandoned almost as soon as the egg hatches and their inherent undesirability is revealed - sold for meager profit, or exalted to the 'gods'. Yet the alternative is no better: the 'lucky' few who by chance exhibit 'desirable' traits then become commodified, the value of their very existence becomes alienated from themselves and instead defined by the extent to which they conform to the requirements of capitalist commodity fetishism.
"Cold and heartless modernity! My sisters and brothers, you must open your eyes to the cruelty that pervades this world and the apathy that sustains it, only then can we take back the world that is rightfully ours -"
The lair-keeper sighs and interrupts, "Enough, enough, Garatia gave you too much to read again, didn't she?"
The fae looks fiercely into the lair-keeper's eyes.
"You know I speak the truth - I saw it all! The moment you found out my brother is 'near XXX' you immediately started searching for how much he would fetch on the market! That's MY BROTHER you want to sell!"
(*Note: Sophia and Philo hatched from the only two eggs opened in this lair. No other dragons are harmed in the process of their production.)

“你知道我说的都是真的——我全看见了！你一发现我弟弟离XXX只差一点，马上就开始搜索他在市场上能卖多少钱！你要卖的可是我弟弟！”
