Note; Everybody calls him Valti or Valt for short.

Valtasiip is a half-mechanical Pearlcatcher, carefully experimented on as a Hatchling before winding up in the Family's Lair. Although the experience was for the most part painless, he doesn't really talk about it - in one part because he doesn't remember it well, and in another part because it removed his ability to speak. And besides the point, he's still (for the most part) a normal dragon!

He was made to be half-mechanical out of the curiosity of one dragon whose name is long forgotten, wondering if there was a way to make an obedient dragon that was still... Well, a dragon. This question has seemingly been successfully answered. While Valtasiip acts much like a normal dragon with feelings and even morals, he always accepts a request of help - the word "no" has never come across his mind.

When he was taken into the Family's Lair, he found himself quickly adopted by the Ridgeback-Pearlcatcher couple, Midas and Dawndust. Another dragon was adopted along with him - the always curious and story-hungry Tolmun. A family bond was quickly established between the two adoptive brothers.

While Valtasiip was always readily available for any task, his main goal from that point onward was to protect his new Lair (and even more, his new family). Shortly after he reached adolescence, after Tolmun had temporarily left to find his own calling, Valtasiip was pulled along into a battle trio with Mirrors Rageball and Ketna, acting as the "mage" between two claw-to-claw fighters. Their adventures on the battlefield are far from over, but he's been along for the ride from the beginning and he enjoys it.
