Leviathan

The rattling of bones accompanies a sickening smell of death and decay. Very few dragons possess such an accompanying sense of doom; his name is a mere whisper on the lips of friend and foe alike. Leviathan walks slowly, swishing his tail back and forth. He is blind in all four of his eyes and wears a cloak to hide their hideous white color. Hatchlings flee at the sight of him, shaking his head back and forth as he walks, sniffing the ground to find his bearings. His claws are long and unkempt and he wears feathers and skulls stained with dirt.

His only companion is his familiar, an unsightly thing created by the foulest form of mutation possible. Some say that Leviathan lost his eyesight in creating the creature, along with parts of his flesh; it is stained white, as if its been burned away. The strange splotching seem to cause him pain, and his wings are nearly unusable. He is never seen flying.

Together the two live in the darkest corner of the lair. Strange scents roll from their sector; sometimes it smells of sulphur and rotten eggs, and at the worst of times it smells of death itself. That is when the fog rolls in, a thick, tangible smoke that covers the land. Strange wailing sounds and groans echo about the land and everyone retreats to their lairs to hide. No one braves the open air when their chanting starts, but the Nochnyr can be seen roaming about, snarling and screeching unbearably.
