Corus | Flight instructor
Corus is a skydancer so at ease in the air that you'd be surprised to learn she hails from the water flight. She's often referred to as 'putting the "Sky" in "Skydancer"'. One of the few who can navigate through Sythlar's snowstorm unhindered, there is no question about her aerial prowess. This, among other traits, is why Corus is always enlisted to tutor when a dragon needs to learn how to truly use their wings.
A master of flight, she can fight, travel, and work in midair, and is often disappointed to find other dragons don't think to use their wings that way. She's often fond of saying that her wings are her third set of limbs, so she may as well use them as much as the other two. She rarely has her feet on the ground unless she's lecturing. As a teacher Corus is well-known. Her voice, much like the rest of her breed, is soft and melodious; hers specifically is quite gentle but calls attention to itself, supporting her in grabbing the attention of distracted hatchlings learning to fly or older dragons nodding off. She teaches so frequently that she often uses her teacher tone on her friends, much to her embarrassment. Corus is an avid reader, but much to the chagrin of the well-read dragons in the clan, she pretends she doesn't read at all. When asked about books, she'll act clueless, but at other times she'll quote tomes from the library to her students. What infuriates her bookworm clanmates most is that she will never be found asking to borrow a book or take it out of the library, nor will any be missing. There is currently a furious debate on how she manages to get her hands on her reading material without anyone noticing; whomever wins that bet is bound to get a significant stack of treasure and gems. When nobody is paying attention to her, Corus will sometimes go swimming off among the ice floes, much to the clear distress of her clanmates. She is never harmed, and indeed seems to quite enjoy swimming in the frigid waters, but her nonchalant attitude only frustrates them further. Her favourite animal is the flying fish, but unfortunately, she hasn't found any yet. Maybe swimming farther would help, but she isn't completely cruel to her well-meaning companions, so she stays mostly within sight of them.  I put the "sky" in "Skydancer". I also put the "pun" in punting someone off a cliff. You'd be surprised how quickly younglings learn to fly that way.
