Ruby was once a loyal devotee to the Plague flight, before stumbling into the Shifting Expanse. She is shy but harsh in her words, preferring to be left alone as she finds it very shameful that she was taken in and healed by your clan. To her this is a sign that she’s too weak to power through her injuries. Once befriended, she is a gentle and considerate friend.
She does chores for your clan but doesn't talk much. You'll find her cleaning or bird watching most of the time.

Growing up in the harsh climate of the Scarred Wasteland is no easy feat for any dragon, and Ruby certainly found her fair share of difficulties.
She was not particularly powerful, often avoiding the gruesome duels that regularly went on within her clan frequently. Yet she was still hardened enough to withstand the elements and raging disease that threatened all life in The Wandering Contagion.
Feeling inadequate, one day Ruby decided to prove to the Plaguebringer that she is truly capable and devoted to her flight. Her plan was to fly round the entirety of Sornieth with no breaks, in a grand display of endurance.
Unfortunately, after crossing the Sea of a Thousand Currents into the Shifting Expanse, the exhaustion combined with the rough stormy weather caused her muscles to eventually give in. She crashed into the scrubland, unconscious and near death.
After being rescued by your clan, Ruby is so mortified by her failure that she has vowed never to go back to the Scarred Wasteland, knowing that her old clan would possibly exile her.
Her own feelings of deep shame have put her allegiance to the Plaguebringer at risk, as she feels too pathetic to truly be a member of the Plague flight. Sometimes she feels that this loss of identity has been harder to cope with than any infection or battle she’s been through before.
