‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ ‍ When a trio of sister, imperial dragons came to Yadona's birthclan, they carried with them stories of a clan hidden in the darkness that lived with a terrible curse in their midst. The tales of ruin and the battle against losing their minds to the Shade terrified most of the triplets' new clanmates. However, Yadona felt only deep compassion. How horrible it must be to live in terror in the dark. Thanks to the protective runes branded onto her hide, Yadona doesn't fear the Shade.
In her heart she felt a conviction grow that if only she went to the Tangled Woods that there would be something she could do to help. Everydragon deserved to live in peace and happiness. Her draw to the shadows grew until she could not eat or sleep. Finally, Yadona quietly left one clear and cold night - abandoning the protective ice spires and glittering snow of the Southern Icefield to enter the madness of the shadows.
