INDIRA - Lantern Lighter

When night falls or the storms come near, someone must light the way, and that has become Indira's job over the years. She wasn't sure she would like it at first, the night a howling storm washed over her home and her mother took her with as they lit the emergency lanterns with sparks from their claws. The wind was harsh, the rain lashed sharply enough to cut, and all the world was cloaked in darkness as the clouds crowded in.

But looking back, Indira and her mother left a trail of glimmering lights in their wake, and nothing has ever made Indira so proud.

Since she's grown, the job has not gotten easier. She goes out into stronger storms now, ones she could have never withstood when she was younger, and battles the elements for all she's worth in order to bring the lantern's light again. Someone must do it, after all. There are often dragons outside the clan's borders who need a beacon, dragons who might perish otherwise. Indira's work saves lives, and difficult as it may be, she cannot step away from such an important role.

As long as she lives, through every storm, she will light the lanterns. She will light the way home.
