A child of royal blood, sent off to an Abbey in Light to learn devotion to the Lightweaver in effort to ward off signs of Shade awakening. As he is still young and growing, he's often found either in the Library or sent off somewhere by Cecil or Darrin to better familiarize himself with the Abbey's workings. The Denfathers also see it proper that Teren spend ample time in the Abbey's chapel- considering the fears confided in Suriya and Themistocles upon making arrangements to take in the young prince. Not that there is any substantial fear. But it's felt that should young Teren find favor with the deities in his youth, that it shall prevent any future misfortune wherever he may go.

The Shade within them lies dormant until something should trigger it to awaken. At that time, there is no way to predict how it will affect them, or what abilities they will gain due to it. One beneficial factor to it is that this strand of Shade is not typically malignant, but it is still no less dangerous, and it could potentially overwhelm its host if they are not trained to control it.

Teren's residency in the Abbey of the Oberion makes him one of the few occupying the Noble's Courtyard quarter.
